Top 9 Best Short Cruises

two day cruise

Indulge in traditional Mexican flavors and spices in Ensenada, home of the fish taco. Travel back in time as you roam thousand-year-old Maya temples in Cozumel. There are plenty of weekend cruises sailing from Los Angeles or Florida. If you’re planning a quick getaway, birthday, wedding, business meeting, incentive group, or any special event, consider our Bahamas shuttle boat fast ferry ride. You have the choice to go to Bahamas just for the day or take advantage of our cruise to stay packages including a hotel in Bahamas.

Departing Port

It’s also important to point out that two-day cruise options are much more limited than three-day and four-day itineraries. Disney, too, offers two-day escapes from San Diego to Ensenada on Disney Wonder, while Princess has them from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas. Occasionally, you can also book two-day cruises in Europe, mostly when ships reposition in between longer itineraries. Celebrity, Norwegian, Cunard, Costa, and MSC all offer these types of two-day sailings. The days of the two-night cruise to nowhere are gone, but two- and three-night weekend cruises still exist from ports ranging from Miami to Los Angeles. Read on to learn who sails these short getaways, where you can go and how much that weekend jaunt to the Bahamas is going to cost you.

Solo Travelers

Once you see how easy it is to plan a short cruise vacation, and its return-on-investment, you’ll wonder why you waited so long to book one. Let’s take a look at the top short Carnival cruises where you can get away to relax, have fun and reconnect with yourself and your family. Leave for warmer climates from departure points in Los Angeles, Miami, and other cities around the country. However, the cruise ships offer all one solution combining travel with accommodations and everything you need for entertainment and food options on board. Cruise from Fort Lauderdale on a short Western Caribbean cruise to Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas and Cozumel, Mexico. With two days at sea, you’ll also have plenty of time on the ship to explore world-class restaurants, try a new treatment at the spa, and lounge poolside.

A two-day cruise is a perfectly spontaneous, affordable, and convenient way to get a taste of paradise. During your day in Nassau, snorkel over one of the island’s stunning reefs, where you may spot sea turtles gliding beneath you. Learn how to scuba dive with an expert instructor or, if you’re more experienced, head out to the breathtaking Rainbow Reef for an unforgettable dive. On a four-night Bahamas cruise with Celebrity, you’ll see the best of Bimini and the vibrant capital of Nassau. Depart from sunny Miami, where you can enjoy the glamorous nightlife of South Beach, fine dining in Brickell, and luxury shopping in Aventura before boarding your ship. Spend some time on the Magic Carpet, a spacious lounge cantilevered over the side of the ship with 270-degree views of the ocean.

Wonderful Weekend Getaways

Spend the day relaxing by the pool or taking in the expansive view from the Rooftop Garden, a beautiful space resembling a living urban playscape. Or you could spend the day at Blue Lagoon, relaxing in the shade of a coconut palm on a private white sand beach and sipping mimosas. These are some of the best short cruises you can book for an unforgettable vacation.

Cruise Critic is not a booking agent and does not charge any service fees to users of our site. When you book with one of our partners, please be sure to check their site for a full disclosure of all applicable fees as required by the U.S. These short-but-sweet itineraries — which are actually two nights of cruising and just one day at sea or in a nearby port — are great for first-time cruisers looking to test the waters. Even those who’ve cruised before can book a two-day cruise to try out a new ship or a different cruise line than the one they typically book. And with prices as low as $159 per person for an inside cabin (based on double occupancy), these mini-cruises are a great option for a birthday, anniversary, or engagement celebration with friends.

Once you depart from the Gray Line Fast Ferry, head straight to Illa Bimini, a brand new nature meets Architectural Digest just north of Alice Town with 54 residential waterfront villas. There are plenty of cruises to choose from that depart from all over the east coast of Florida, from Palm Beach to Miami. However, one of the most convenient and popular is Fort Lauderdale’s  Port Everglades. Discover Amsterdam’s unique waterfront architecture by boarding a romantic canal cruise, where you can marvel at the sights while drinking a cozy glass of wine. You could spend a day on a catamaran, cruising the craggy shoreline and pretty inlets of the bay, or perhaps head to Pambula Lake to spend the day with a Sydney rock oyster farmer. You’ll learn to harvest and shuck your own oysters, ending with a tasting of this delicious delicacy.

two day cruise

Visit tranquil places in the Caribbean, like the cenotes of Mexico, to find the most relaxing vacation spots. Experience the top 7 most thrilling things to do at the Perfect Day at CocoCay from sliding down the tallest waterslide in North America to zip lining across the island and much more. Looking for some top family-friendly attractions in the Caribbean?

And we’ll never list cruises with a price “per night” or “per day." Just remember that as you search for your next cruise — and you’ll easily gauge exactly what you’re paying for. Think of the two-day cruise as the sample size of the high seas. If you try it and don’t like it, you haven’t spent all that much money and all of your vacation days don’t go to waste. Plus, savor craveworthy flavors onboard and ashore on your short cruise getaway. Easy to book and easy to plan, Margaritaville at Sea invites you to climb aboard for nonstop fun, where it’s always 5 o'clock at sea.

That's because most cruise ships board in the afternoon and depart in the early evening then return to port in the morning. If you're looking to hop a ship for a few nights, you can't just sail from anywhere to anywhere. Thanks to the complicated Passenger Vessel Services Act, foreign-flagged cruise ships cannot leave port, sail in circles with their casinos, shops and spas open, then return back to port two nights later. Ships need to call in another country before heading back – which limits where you can sail on a weekend cruise.

Four convenient home ports make Florida the undisputed cruising capital of the world. Weekend cruises only work if you live within easy driving distance of a departure port. That way, you can still work half a day on Friday and simply arrive back to work a little late on Monday (assuming you're a 9-to-5-er). Sail away for a short two, three, or four day vacation on a cruise. It’s affordable, won’t cut into your workload and planning a short cruise makes you the hero of your family. You’ll also come back feeling on top of the world, like you’ve been away for far longer.

Experienced cruisers can also reap the monetary benefits of a cruise to nowhere, while experiencing all the onboard amenities that they usually enjoy. Start your adventure with some good old-fashioned southern hospitality in Galveston, Texas. Don’t miss the city’s must-see landmark buildings and bustling Pleasure Pier. Then board your ship and sail on a short cruise getaway to the beautiful shores of Mexico and the western Caribbean. A respite for sun and sand seekers, the Bahamas is home to light blue beaches, translucent underwater caves, a rich royal heritage and exclusive private isles. These can all be found throughout a beautifully scattered string of 700 islands.

We were surprised by the tech box on the vanity, which houses multiple outlets and includes USB plugs. From the incredible innovation to the intricate and thoughtful design around every corner, Celebrity Beyond takes cruising to a whole new level. Set Sail on the Best Cruise Ships with Celebrity Cruises

If you’re expecting a traditional cruise ship just like the Edge and Solstice-class ships in the Celebrity Cruises fleet… well, don’t. These ships are much, much smaller and designed specifically to offer experiences you just can’t get on a mega-ship. It’s also worth noting that these suite guests also enjoy access to the SEA Thermal Suite and a dedicated spa concierge. Don’t miss the adults-only Solarium, the Rooftop Garden, the aforementioned Eden, or the Magic Carpet, which offers the best views at sea. Celebrity’s newest ship is also its flashiest — in the best way possible. The Celebrity Ascent offers an expanded Retreat area (exclusive to suite guests), complete with a 40-percent-larger two-story sundeck, and the swanky Sunset Bar, which is 180 percent larger.

What are the different ship classes on Celebrity Cruises?

However, Norwegian Viva has tons of outdoor space for guests to enjoy during their cruise. With the right climate and itinerary, utilizing the outdoor space could alleviate some of the crowdedness inside the ship. Additionally, guests traveling with children will want to consider the attractions offered by Norwegian Viva that you won’t find on the top deck of Celebrity Ascent.

What to Know About All 16 Ships in the Celebrity Cruises Fleet

Following her season in Alaska, she will return to Australia to offer cruises to the Great Barrier Reef, New Zealand, and the South Pacific. Visiting the Galapagos with Celebrity is an immersive experience different from a traditional cruise vacation. Throughout the cruise, you will visit new islands nearly every day, allowing you to learn more about the region’s fascinating flora and fauna.

Sailing exclusively in the Galapagos, the ship offers eight luxurious suites, two dining options, and public areas like a lounge and sun deck. Cruisers enjoy daily excursions in this ship’s one-of-a-kind destinations. Celebrity Exploration had the honor of being home to the first woman captain of a Galapagos cruise ship.

What's the difference between newer and older Celebrity Cruises ships?

For example, The Lawn Club was introduced and quickly became a staple throughout Celebrity Cruises’ ships. The ship also featured a unique form of entertainment that soon spread to other ships in the fleet — the Hot Glass Show, which was developed via a partnership with The Corning Museum of Glass. Other notable features included a 12-deck-tall atrium and a large theater that could fit 1,400 people. This cruise ship offered brand-new types of staterooms for the cruise line, such as the Infinite Veranda, which gives cruisers a unique take on the traditional balcony stateroom, for blurred lines between the indoors and outdoors.

Celebrity Solstice is the first ship in the Solstice Class and sister to the Celebrity Reflection, Celebrity Silhouette, Celebrity Eclipse, and Celebrity Equinox. She is 129,500 GRTs and has a capacity of 3,836 passengers (based on two per cabin). Celebrity Equinox is the second ship in the Solstice Class and sister to the Celebrity Reflection, Celebrity Silhouette, Celebrity Eclipse, and Celebrity Solstice. Celebrity Eclipse is the third ship in Solstice Class and sister to the Celebrity Reflection, Celebrity Silhouette, Celebrity Equinox, and Celebrity Solstice. Celebrity Silhouette is the fourth ship in Solstice Class and sister to the Celebrity Reflection, Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Equinox, and Celebrity Solstice.

There are 16 ships in Celebrity Cruises’ fleet, with the oldest over 20 years old and the newest launching later this year. Celebrity Cruises also owns and operates three expedition ships that should be mentioned here. Shortly after the celebrations, Celebrity Ascent departed Saint-Nazaire for a transatlantic journey to the Caribbean, where it will spend the winter season. But there's little rest for the builders at Chantiers — the cycle now begins anew with Celebrity Xcel. It's bright orange coloring makes it pop against the navy hull of the ship. The plush loungers adorned with pillows and towels were so welcoming, I would have loved to take a nap if I wasn't scrambling to take as many pictures as possible during our 2-night media cruise.

Celebrity Ascent (

The Grand Plaza -- another space that's bigger on Beyond than on previous ships -- is one of our favorite spots onboard. The remarkable space is styled on a grand piazza, multiple restaurants flow off the three-story atrium, including Cafe al Bacio, World Class Bar, Le Grand Bistro and Craft & Social. The private Retreat Sundeck, Deck 17 forward, is spread over two decks on Celebrity Beyond, adding extra value for suite-passenger with more secluded spaces outside.

Sign up for a wine tasting with one of our expert sommeliers, or take a hot glass class and learn how to make your own piece of art. Arrange a romantic picnic at the rooftop Lawn Club, where you can lounge on a half-acre of real grass while gazing at the ocean. On Edge-series ships, experience the magic of an Infinite Veranda® stateroom, where the push of a button gives you open-air access to the sea, taking your room right to the water’s edge.

You can book this whole ship for an intimate journey perfect for family get-togethers, getaways with friends, or small groups who want to embark on an adventure together. Celebrity Infinity is the second ship in the Millennium Class and sister to the Celebrity Summit, Celebrity Millennium, and Celebrity Constellation. Celebrity Summit is the second ship in the Millennium Class and sister to the Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Millennium, and Celebrity Constellation. She is 91,000 GRTs and has a capacity of 2,599 passengers (based on two per cabin). Celebrity Constellation is the final ship in the Millennium Class and sister to the Celebrity Summit, Celebrity Infinity, and Celebrity Millennium. She is 91,000 GRTs and has a capacity of 2,559 passengers (based on two per cabin).

Celebrity Infinity is one of the smallest cruise ships in Celebrity’s fleet, but her small size means that she offers a more intimate and traditional cruising experience. Due to the larger size, Solstice Class cruise ships offer a wider range of restaurants, lounges, and amenities. For those cruisers who enjoy sailing on new ships, it will be hard to beat sailing on Celebrity Ascent.

Whether you’re looking for a small or big ship experience, you’re sure to find a ship to fit your travel style best. Celebrity Flora was launched in 2019 and is the jewel of the Galapagos Class. Celebrity has stated that the design and accommodations of Celebrity Flora are heavily inspired by the design of Celebrity Edge overall while also having a significant emphasis on outdoor space. Per Galápagos’ regulations, the ship is flagged in Ecuador and staffed by Ecuadorian crew members. Celebrity Millennium is the first ship in the Millennium Class and sister to the Celebrity Summit, Celebrity Infinity, and Celebrity Constellation.

This is a longstanding maritime tradition that involves smashing a bottle of champagne against a ship's hull to symbolize the ship's ceremonial debut. From older-but-updated and smaller ships, to mega ships with all the bells and whistles, to luxury catamarans that will take you to far-flung locales, Celebrity offers something for everyone. Whether you’re a stalwart Celebrity Cruises fan or you’re just intrigued by the brand and are considering booking your next cruise with Celebrity for the first time, you have plenty of ship options. From 2015 to 2018, Kate McCue was the ship’s captain, and now McCue boasts the status as the first American woman to captain a mega cruise ship. Unfortunately, while Celebrity’s Revolution initiative did impact a large number of the cruise line’s ships, it hasn’t impacted Celebrity Solstice just yet.

Disney Cruise Discounts and Deals

disney cruise package

If you would like to have a personal agent who can help guide you through the decision process and be available to answer questions, then the full-service approach will be a better fit. The cost of a Disney cruise can vary dramatically based on your needs and sailing preferences. However, you should expect to spend at least $1,000 on a cruise for two passengers. The price goes up from there depending on your cabin selection, trip duration and destination choices, among other options. Even better, these redemptions can be stacked with other discounts, allowing you to drop your costs even more.

What is the best Disney Cruise Line ship?

Each kids club has dedicated counselors and a host of activities every day. The best way to see the list of activities is to download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and scroll through the daily agenda. You can flag activities your kids want to attend, so you can get to the kids clubs before they start. For instance, many people drive to Fort Lauderdale or Port Canaveral if they already live in the southern U.S. Driving can save money versus flying, and you might not have to stay in a pre-cruise hotel if you can drive right to the port. Some examples of starting prices for each ship and its major itineraries for an inside cabin or a balcony cabin are listed below so you can get a sense of pricing across the fleet.

While some gratuity is included at Palo and Remy, you'll likely want to add an additional tip if you enjoyed the service. If you stay in a concierge-level room or suite, it is customary to tip the Concierge Lounge hosts at the end of your cruise a recommended amount of $8 per night per guest. Inside all versions of the teen club, Vibe, you'll find a tech-friendly world with loungers, dance parties, smoothies and other teen-approved fun.

Types of Disney Cruise Vacation Packages

Expedia has the same base prices as everyone else, but occasionally they will have their own additional offer, like onboard credit or extra Expedia rewards points. Be sure to read the terms and conditions carefully; in some cases there are sharp limits on the extra rewards or credit, or it will only apply to the cruise fare for the first two guests instead of the entire cruise fare. You can change almost every aspect of your booking as many times as you need to and still keep the benefits. The name of one adult in each stateroom must stay the same, but you can change the names of any of the other guests, or increase or reduce the number of guests. You can change the ship or the sailing as long as the sail date is within 24 months of the initial booking date. If you end up changing to a more expensive booking, you’ll need to make up the difference between your original deposit and the new deposit.

These can be delivered to your cabin for you to enjoy at your leisure around the ship. However, if you order a soft drink from a bar or lounge, you will be charged a per-drink fee. Be careful about what you order so you don't pay for a drink that's free elsewhere on the ship.

Roughly speaking, a family of four will pay about 50% more for two cabins than they will for everyone to stay in one cabin of the same size. This won't be an entire private island like Castaway Cay, but it will be an exclusive beachfront space designed for Disney Cruise Line with many similar offerings to Castaway. Disney Magic, Disney Wonder and Disney Fantasy will call on this new destination for the first time in 2024. Some Disney cruises do what's called a "double dip" and make two stops at the private island, where you can step ashore without leaving the Disney bubble.

The extra amenities that Disney offers — such as Broadway-quality shows, character experiences and larger standard cabins — all bring the overall cruise cost up. For example, we priced out a three-night weekend cruise departing on the same dates for Disney Wish and Royal Caribbean's soon-to-debut Utopia of the Seas. We found that Disney was almost $500 more expensive for the same weekend, cabin type and length of sailing. Utopia of the Seas came out to $2,850.10 for two people staying in a balcony cabin, while the Disney Wish cruise, also in a balcony room, cost $3,337.20. If you're looking for a room upgrade, but that's not a make-it-or-break-it deal for your family, consider waiting to upgrade your room until you get to the port.

Keep in mind that if you later add a guest to a stateroom, they will get added at current rates, not at your initial booking rates. For the lowest final price and most flexibility, it’s a good idea to make the initial booking with everyone who might go, rather than only the people you know are going to go. To give an idea of the cost, a four-person family on a four-night cruise would pay $232 in recommended tips. The amount is split among your team of dining room servers who quickly learned your kids' preferences for dinner and your cabin hosts who made your room look like magic while you were out enjoying yourself.

Furthermore, Cruise Critic makes no guarantees for availability of prices advertised on our site. Listed prices may have blackout dates, qualifications or restrictions. You can book your Disney cruise directly with Disney Cruise Line either over the phone or online, but I'd argue you shouldn't.

Families rotate through three onboard restaurants throughout the sailing, and your service team moves with you. Each of the rotational dining options is included in your cruise fare. One of the restaurants will be open for drop-in, sit-down meals during breakfast and lunch as well.

Take the family for a ride on Slinky Dog Dash, where Slinky's coils twist around curves, hills and drops. In the evening head to Disney's BoardWalk and cycle around the lake before dining at Flying Fish Cafe, and watching performers on the promenade. Take in Main Street and Fantasyland, where you'll race through a diamond mine on swaying family coaster, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Stop for lunch before seeing Mickey and heading to Tomorrowland to blast off through the darkest reaches of outer space on Space Mountain.

Depending on the package you booked for your child, expect to pay $100 to $450 for each makeover. When it's time to eat, three spots serve an included barbecue lunch, complete with soft-serve ice cream. Coffee, tea and fountain drinks are also included at Castaway Cay. Every child ages 3 to 17 will have access to Disney's kids clubs on board. Youngsters ages 3-10 can enjoy Disney's Oceaneer Club and Disney's Oceaneer Lab.

Whether you bring your own alcohol on board at every port, try your luck with the Sommelier bin or save with a beer or wine package, you'll never go thirsty on Disney Cruise Line. For those who like to sip on a cold beer while enjoying a show, time at the pool or playing trivia, the beer mug savings package could be worth buying. You can buy the mug online before your cruise from the Onboard Gifts and Amenities area of the Disney Cruise Line website for $15.25. You can also purchase it once you're on the ship from one of the kiosks with crew selling drink packages.

Happy hour is listed under daily events, and the app will tell you when and where you can find drink specials. You can choose different vintages or the same for each night of your cruise. One perk of this package is that you don't have to order the number of bottles corresponding to your sailing length. You can order more than one bottle per night, and what you don't finish can be taken back to your cabin or enjoyed the following evening in the dining room. Or, you can order just a few bottles for a weeklong cruise if you'll easily split a bottle over two dinners. Building on the classic style of her sister ship, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy has a total length of 1,115 feet and a maximum width of 125 feet.

Other more expensive onboard souvenirs include jewelry, luxury brand purses and wallets, and art. On the four other Disney Cruise Line ships, Palo is also $50 for prix-fixe and offers an a la carte menu. Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy both have a virtual sports simulator that requires a reservation and a fee. You can play various sports, from football to golf, for either 30- or 60-minute time blocks. Use of towels, beach chairs and shade umbrellas are complimentary, as are waterslides and splash zones.

Carnival Jubilee Cruise Ship Explore Deck Plans & Sailings

Carnival Panorama also houses Carnival's first cooking classroom. Dubbed Carnival Kitchen, it's located near the ship's main restaurants and is a seriously tricked-out venue complete with nine state-of-the-art, marbled granite cooking stations for two and a dedicated dining area. The latter venue was created in partnership with Food Network's Guy Fieri and serves a free lunch on embarkation and sea days, with all items smoked on board.

Carnival Jubilee

The self-described "fun ship" line is the king of short, affordable, fun-focused cruises from U.S. ports to the Caribbean, Bahamas, Mexico and other nearby destinations. No matter where you live in the U.S., you're probably within a few hours of a Carnival ship. With two to nine-day cruises from Tampa to the Caribbean and the Bahamas, Carnival Paradise literally takes cruisers to paradise islands. The ship brims with fun amenities like the WaterWorks splash zone and the relaxing Cloud 9 Spa. Head to the main theater for enchanting live performances and shows every night, enjoy tacos and burgers on the pool decks, or find a lounge chair around the pool and soak up the sun. Carnival Horizon has all the makings of a fun family vacation.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Carnival Breeze is ideal for a short cruise out of Galveston, Texas. The ship has plenty of activities throughout the day, including bingo, trivia, and live performances in the comedy club. Here’s the most affordable way to experience Carnival Celebration®, without cutting even a single corner in the comfort department. Design is more than just the way things look — it's as much about how they work. And staterooms aboard Carnival Celebration® are packed with innovative changes to both. It's the way the ring-lit vanity mirror lights you evenly and shadow-free as you get ready.

But he’s serious about seafood, and an evening at Rudi’s proves it through the courses. Enjoy selections like seafood bisque and crab-stuffed lobster tail imperial — all served with an elegant flair that pays proper tribute to the beauty of the ocean from which so much fun, and flavor, arises. They’re not concerts, they’re not exactly plays… these shows are something else entirely. Every performance is built on amazing songs you know and love, presented like you’ve never seen before. Carnival Jubilee™ plays host to a lineup of shows like Soulbound and its spooky, atmospheric R&B and Visual Symphony, with innovative LED walls and special effects three decks high.

WE SAIL ALL OVER THE PLACE.

As the first Carnival ship to call in the UK in 20 years, guests were happy to travel on the cruise ship during this momentous occasion. Carnival Panorama, the third in the Vista Class, launched at the end of 2019 and was the first new Carnival cruise ship based on the West Coast in two decades. Although Carnival has had onboard seafood options for years, this is a far cry from the pool deck's Seafood Shack (which recently sold me a mediocre crabcake). Instead, at Rudi's, you'll find a don't-miss lobster mac and cheese, plenty of meat and seafood selections, and crabcakes that are actually worth the price of admission. Rudi's Seagrill, Carnival Cruise Line's high-end seafood restaurant, offers a menu of delicious and beautifully prepared dishes, served in a dining room that's light and airy. Glass fish accents and pops of blue color enhance the nautical vibe.

Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse Brewhouse

Drinks brought on board must be carried in your carry-on luggage. Carnival allows you to bring one bottle of wine or Champagne per person onto ships at boarding plus up to a dozen standard cans or cartons of nonalcoholic drinks such as sodas. The social and value plans cost $18 and $23 per day, respectively, when bought onboard a ship.

Pricing changes over time, but the fastest "premium" service on Carnival vessels was recently priced at $21.25 per day when bought in advance ($25 per day when bought onboard). Meanwhile, for passengers hoping for quiet time away from the kids, many Carnival ships also have an adults-only Serenity retreat area on their top decks with padded loungers, daybeds, hot tubs and often a bar. For the most part, Carnival ships don't have quite as many features on board as Royal Caribbean or Norwegian vessels, in part because they're not as big.

Carnival vessels based on the East Coast and along the Gulf of Mexico mostly sail to the Caribbean and Bahamas. Some East Coast ships also head to Bermuda, New England and Canada. On the West Coast, sailings to Mexico, Hawaii and Alaska are the norm. Seven of the line's 25 vessels measure less than 100,000 tons, which makes them almost midsize by today's cruise ship standards. Think nightly dance parties in White Heat Dance Club, movies under the stars on the pool deck, and tacos from BlueIguana Cantina.

Other interior attractions and activities

Before committing to a cruise, I break down the price per person per night, particularly if I need multiple cabins because I'm traveling with a group. I recommend you take advantage of Carnival's convenient 24-hour reservation hold, which displays the total cost, itinerary, and a countdown timer so you know when to purchase to secure the locked-in price. When I select a sailing, I book through Carnival Cruise Line’s reservation number to see if I can snag an exclusive deal not listed online. Carnival's free-to-join loyalty program, the Very Important Fun Person (VIFP) Club, offers deals like reduced deposits, onboard credit, and room upgrades. The more you book with the cruise line, the better your deals will be.

Since some of them get up and say exactly what’s on their mind, we also schedule family-friendly performances… so the only red faces in the audience are from laughing a little too hard. In 2001, Carnival transferred their first new build, the 1982 built Tropicale to Costa Cruises. Through the rest of the decade, the line would continue to sell, or transfer the other 1980s built ships to other lines, with the Jubilee in 2004, Celebration in 2008, and Holiday in 2009. We call Carnival Jubilee™'s onboard burger spot Guy’s Burger Joint™. Carnival Jubilee™ has its own Punchliner Comedy Club in the Grand Central zone, and up on stage you’ll find some real pros who know how to wedge a little laughter into anyone’s evening.

And while Miami isn’t quite known as a pizza town, we don’t think you’ll mind that we’re serving up the cheesy stuff until 4 a.m. (Roll up your sleeves and dig in!) And like any cosmopolitan center, dining quality and variety counts big. That’s why you’ll find Cucina del Capitano and Rudi’s Seagrill restaurants in the neighborhood. Grand Central is designed to make an impression… and that’s good because it’s going to be your first one!

The oldest Fantasy Class vessels have 28 suites and 26 junior suites. Carnival Sunshine (formerly Carnival Destiny) is 10 years old and a fan favorite. The lower guest capacity, at just over 3,000 for double occupancy, means you won’t have to fight hoards of people to get to and from activities. Families who want even more cabin space should book one of the aft-view extended balcony rooms with great wake views and ample private outdoor space. Initially built in 2019 for Costa Cruises, this ship joined the Carnival fleet in 2023. Carnival Venezia is ideal if you’re looking for a ship that celebrates one of Italy’s most iconic cities.

Beaches, boardwalks and piers were just a little of what inspired us to create this zone that serves up just the right flavors and feels. For starters, Coastal Slice™ is the hotspot for fresh pizza that can only be topped… by delicious toppings. Marina Bar™ is an indoor/outdoor spot where the drinks are only part of the refreshment story — there’s also some great lounging to do!

Cruise Workers' Salaries: Unlocking the Secrets of Their Pay

Cruise Workers' Salaries: Unlocking the Secrets of Their Pay

Cruise workers' salaries can vary depending on their position, experience, and the cruise line they work for. Entry-level positions, such as cabin stewards and dining room servers, typically earn between $700 and $1,200 per month, plus tips. More experienced workers, such as cruise directors and hotel managers, can earn between $2,000 and $5,000 per month, plus tips.
